"See to it then, that the light within you is not darkness." Luke 11:35 NIV

What we focus on can either bring positivity or negativity into our lives. It depends on what is important to us. What we see affects our feelings, our life, and our relationships. Engaging in negative behaviors can lead to uninspired living and forming connections. For example: Watching shows or playing video games where someone uses multiple weapons to harm others cannot lead to a vibrant life. Yet, we demand gun control for our communities.
A good light is crucial to work with. It is both uncomfortable and difficult to complete any task without it. Whether it’s needlework, or any combination of crafting, a good light is an essential tool. I love to knit and crochet, but without a good lamp near me, it is almost impossible to see the intricate details of my work. Even a computer must have a good light, or how would I see what I am writing? We are the ones that filter what we indulge our senses in. It cannot come from outside. It begins from within us.
Jesus said,” When your eyes are healthy, your whole body is also full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body is also full of darkness. Luke 11:34 The light that Jesus is referring to is a spiritual light. Yes, the kind of light that will brighten a dark and depressed soul.
Let us begin by living the word of God.
See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness. Luke 11:35.
