Salvation is a gift. A plan to reconcile humankind to God having been separated when Adam and Eve sinned and were expelled from the Garden of Eden. Sin which resulted from their disobedience to God when they were told not to eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Only sin can separate man from the relationship God originally intended to have with humanity. So, God having loved his Creation devised a plan. A plan of redemption.

This plan of love, fellowship, and adoration offered a fulfillment that only can be shared between a man’s soul and God. Sin caused the breakup and resulted in Adam and Eve being expelled from the Garden of Eden. Yet God longed to have a way to regain the fellowship with His creation once again. So, plan A did not work, so He then produced Plan B.

Jesus Christ became a part of the new plan of salvation. Jesus fulfilled every part that was needed to reconcile us back to God. “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12. Jesus sacrificed His life on the cross, for our salvation- once. It is complete.

This plan only requires on our part to Believe, Repent, and Confess. Believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, and through Him… “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. Acknowledging that Jesus is Lord and believing that truth without embarrassment or shame.

Repentance is the part we play. Confessing our sins and asking forgiveness brings us into a new birth. Our sins are forgiven, as we confess, and a new life begins. “Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new. 2 Cor 5:17.

It is complete no more blood of bulls and animals. Just faith, unwavering confidence. Jesus played His part to make it all happen. He shed His blood on the cross for our sins. The final sacrifice, the ultimate sacrifice.

So, if you can believe, in the plan and receive the gift of salvation, Jesus Christ came to fulfill then you can be saved. It is just that simple. Receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and be reconciled to God.
