To you, O men, I call out, I raise my voice to all mankind. You who are simple, gain prudence, you who are foolish, gain understanding. Proverbs 8:4-5. NIV

Wisdom can provide a simple and obvious solution to a complex situation. Wisdom cries out, “Is anyone needing help, I have something to offer. Call unto me and I will find you and lead you where you can look for me. But please do not search for me on Google, you will not find me there.”

In my many years of living on this earth, (do not worry I will not bother you with the details of that!) I have met all sorts of individuals. The educated and rich, some extraordinarily rich, the talented, and even a few gifted people. Then some said they were “the called and anointed by God!” and just some genuinely nice people. There were several not-so-pleasant people, but I will not discuss them here either.

However, as for me, I believe that I have met at least one person that I would consider to be wise. That person understood what I needed the most in my life and pointed me to Jesus Christ.

“The bible states that, “The mouth of the righteous utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks what is just.” Ps. 37:30. Wisdom is one of a leader’s most valuable qualities, yet it is on the concise list among American leaders. A righteous man will seek God for wisdom concerning other people’s lives. Not seeking to exist for the self alone and placing their interest before others. A wise person’s understanding benefits everyone who receives it.

It is easy to obtain wisdom. There is enough to go around, and James says “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraided not; and it shall be given him. James 1:6. While wisdom is plentiful, why not ask God for it? Try it, it cannot hurt.
