"Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be completely lighted, as when the light of a lamp shines on you." Luke 11:35-36

The Bible speaks of Jesus as the Light of the world, a light that can saturate this world’s darkness. And draws men to God.
There are heavenly resources available to us that can aid in overcoming this darkness. They are prayer, faith, the Word of God, and love. Accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and believing in His power to defeat Satan in our lives, can bring peace to mankind. Knowing that we must put God at the forefront of our will. His will must become our will.
Spiritual laziness is one of Satan’s main tools to keep us blinded. It distracts us away from prayer to keep us busy, fatigued, and off-focus. If we desire to eliminate the darkness around us, how ready are we to do the work? Spiritual work demands consistency, self-discipline, and submission to God.
Building the light is the first step. Once the light is shining others will be drawn to it. It can spread from person to person, just as darkness does. Jesus is the light that shines throughout the World, but we have a part in igniting that light. We must turn on the switch. From that moment the ignition switch is turned on it’s up to us to refuel that fire. Through prayer and fasting, the Holy Spirit will keep the fire burning. If you have ever built a fire it takes small kindling, small twigs, and dried leaves to begin the fire. As the fire grows hotter the flames will continue to burn as larger logs are added. The thicker wooden logs will create hotter flames. Nothing heats up a room like a roaring fireplace on a cold day.
Refueling the fire requires stirring the logs and adding more wood. It will allow cooking or anything thing you want to use it for as long as the fire is fed. The fire is there to do that, but if there is no one to keep it going, it will surely die out.
So, it is in the natural it is in the spiritual. Spiritual food must be eaten every day. The body needs nourishment or else it will become sick. You cannot rely on what you ate last week to survive. You must replenish your body with real food daily. We must continue to fuel the spiritual fire every day. Prayer and reading God’s word will keep us from falling prey to Satan’s traps and snares.
God is letting us know that it’s time to change our lives. It’s not too late.
God’s personal Message!
“Come back to me and really mean it!
Come fasting and weeping, sorry for your sins!
“Change your life, not just your clothes.
Come back to God, your God.
And here’s why.” God is kind and merciful.
He takes a deep breath and puts up with a lot. The most patient God, Extravagant in love. Joel 2:13-14 MSG
