"I had fainted unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living." Psalm 27:13

It’s easy to lose heart in this world. Especially with the violence all around us. We are carrying the world on our shoulders, not to mention the weight of circumstances in our circle of life. It is difficult to live today and not feel the pain of others even when they are on the other side of the world.
Sadly, some are consumed with their own “second amendment rights.” Even in the middle of another tragic shooting, some are only concerned about themselves and refuse to even attempt to put laws in place that could protect the helpless- who don’t understand their “rights”. What good are” second amendment rights” when you are being shot at and have no weapon to protect yourself? Everyone may have a right to a gun, but everyone cannot handle a gun!” It is easy to lose heart when you hear such things coming from politicians and so-called church people. No gun or artillery can protect us from the evil that lurks in men. Only Jesus Christ can do that. We have no rights other than to submit ourselves to Jesus and allow him to direct us as a people and a nation. Until we submit ourselves to Him, we will continue to be disheartened.
Nevertheless, while we face such wickedness and oppression we must live on. The Bible says, “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped…” Psalm 28:7 KJV.
God has given us the tools to break through the darkness with spiritual weapons. “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world, on the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.” 2 Cor 10:4 NIV.
Those weapons are righteousness. the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit which is the Word of God. Prayer and fasting are also weapons. We have entered into a time when we must seek God for answers, and the way to do that is to pray and study the Word of God. No longer can we look to the people we vote into office to provide the help we need in the country. Following Jesus Christ gives us the right to call on Him to show us the way. “Jesus said, I am the way the truth, and the life. No man can come unto the Father but by me.” John 14:6. KJV.
In Jesus is the power to demolish and destroy the works of Satan. In His name is all power and when we believe in that power, Jesus and heaven will fight for us. When we are truly repentant then we will see the evils we hear about daily rollback and the peace that is so desperately needed will come to us. “God is our refuge and strength an ever-present help in the time of trouble.”
