“For the upright; for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous. Psalm 112:4 NIV.
Whenever darkness appears, the light of Jesus will shine through it. Even in the worst-case scenario, hope. faith and charity will take us through the darkest moments. We have access to this light only if we believe in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
The light shines through Darkness. That is a natural law, and spiritual law. The difference is that one is powered by electricity, the other is powered by God. There are benefits in both, the natural and spiritual light, but the spiritual light gives us the most benefits. The spiritual life gives fellowship with God a peaceful life, and eternal life. “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son.” 1 John 1:7.
Our faith in Jesus Christ, assures us that there is a supernatural power that will help us face the darkness. It is up to us to acknowledge and recognize this light and to use it to navigate through this world’s darkness. Jesus is that light and He is the light of the world. Jesus said, ” I am the light of the world. he who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12.
For those of us who believe, we eat, drink, and live by these words. There is no other truth in a believer’s life except the fact that whatever we face, we know that Jesus’ light will show up for us.
The following scripture identifies some principles that if we apply them to our daily life, the light will show up even more brightly- making an great impact even in our relationships.
The good person is generous and lends lavishly. No shuffling or stumbling around for this one, But a sterling, solid and lasting reputation. Unfazed by rumor and gossip, Heart ready, trusting in God. Psalm 112:4 The Message.
If we practice those things that will strengthen us spiritually, such as prayer, fasting, and giving, the result is immediate. The light immediately shines through. Not only in sharing but perfecting our character which results in strength, endurance, and the favor of God in our endeavors.
Darkness cannot hide the light, and nothing can put out that light unless we allow it to. “Your word is a lamp unto our feet and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105. Choose to walk in the light of Jesus Christ and live!
