We are living in a time where our Christian beliefs are being put to the test every day. Of all the days and hours that we as Christians in this country spend in Church, if we learned anything, now is the time to put our faith into practice. Simply because just turning on the television can make you- angry and full of hate!

It appears that some of our leaders have chosen to oppress people by lying and ignoring the problems that plagued our country and concentrate their efforts on building their agendas. They believe that one person has the power to solve the problems in this world and all they must do is pledge their allegiance to that person and their political careers will flourish.  Someone adept at lying, bullying, and manipulation.  They want the title without doing the work hoping that their associations will assure their position.  Supporting laws and policies that please the ones who will vote them back into office and unconcerned about the needs of their constituents.

Then when things don’t work out, people resort to violence.  Get a gun and start shooting each other.  Satan’s lies are leading us to our destruction, while our enemies watch and wait to pick up the pieces.

The bible says that “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” How foolish Satan has made us. Our unrighteous ways have created a pathway to our destruction.  Yet we are unwilling to repent and make the changes necessary to save our lives. “When ye bite and devour one another, be careful that you be not consumed one of another.” Galatians 5:15.

It’s time for us to return to God and remember those bible stories we read in Sunday school.  Lesson # 1: “Love your neighbor as yourself”, and “Lesson #2 “To love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul.” If we truly are Christian’s as we say that we are, then we need put into practice what we have learned, and then our fear and anxieties will turn into peace.

Accepting Jesus in our lives is our only hope.  Not just in word but in action.  Jesus is the only answer to our problems, and He will save and help us if we allow Him into our hearts.
