“God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; Power Belongeth to God.”

Psalm 62:11 KJV

There are many displays of power by people.  Political power and wealth are two that come to mind. Power gives men authority, and humans will spend all their days looking to control someone or something.

There are also energy sources of power. Fossil Fuel and electrical are non-sustainable sources, while renewable energy such as solar and wind are more recently sought-after, promising a safer future for the earth. (Although the wind and sun were here long before humans. Now that man has discovered a new usefulness, it gets a new name- Renewable energy – and the price to access its technology will skyrocket.) It will be the next “grandiose thing” to spur on whoever can harness its power. Man has invented byproducts that can use energy safely, and making it easy for everyday use, such as gasoline, electric lights, and other needed commodities, which has made our lives much nicer.

It appears that people will do anything to obtain control over energy sources, the old and the new. The government spends billions to research new sources of energy. Humankind loves power, and powerful things. Wars have been waged over sources of energy and political power. They give influence and makes people feel –Supreme. Power gives an illusion of ultimate control.

But the One who possesses power is the One who created ALL power. God created everything that we consider to be-powerful. God is the creator of the Universe, and until we can create like God-The Creator of all things – ALL Power Belongs to God.

However, there is a power that humankind cannot access on its own.  This power is transferred to men only by the Holy Spirit. Jesus said,” You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you.” This power supersedes all earthly power.  It is spiritual and eternal, and it destroys the works of the devil.  It is given to men, but it is conditional.  To receive this power it requires repentance and faith in action.   Jesus said,” I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man comes unto the Father but by me.” John 14:6 KJV. Repentance is necessary and is non-negotiable.  Believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God and the Savior.  Jesus paid the price for our sins on the cross. Salvation is free, but it takes believing and confession on our part.

Jesus said, “All Power is given unto me in heaven and on earth.” Matt 28:18. We need this Godly power in our lives every day, it is the only power that can dismantle the wickedness of Satan, in our life, our family, and our nation.  Now is not the time to run away from God but toward Him.  If you have not yet given your life to Jesus and invited Him into your life, take a moment to pray this prayer right now.

Jesus, you are the Son of God, and you died on the cross to save me from sin and death.  You are the way back to God. I repent from my sins, and I choose you Jesus as my Lord and Savior.  Come into my heart and fill me with your love and Holy Spirit. This is the ultimate power, true sustainability.  It is renewable, sustainable and never failing.  “Heaven and earth will pass away” Matt 24:35. Jesus Christ has the power to save us in a world that is deteriorating. If you have lived through the last year, you know that much has failed.  Governments and leadership that we once believed to be strong are weak. But the power of Jesus Christ will sustain you through all of life’s challenges. This power gives men eternal life and abundant life while on earth.
